Club Balai Isabel M+M's Wedding Ceremony and Reception Venue

We booked Club Balai Isabel in Talisay, Batangas, more than a year before our wedding. The place is number one among our non-negotiable wedding suppliers because first, we wanted a beach wedding and second, it's less than an hour away from Manila.

First ocular visit @ Club Balai Isabel (Pantalan sa Clubhouse)
At first, I wasn't too impressed with the beach. I wanted white sand (like Boracay). Eventually, I've come to accept that this is the closest thing we can have next to Boracay, budget-wise.

We planned to have both the ceremony and reception in Balai Isabel. I didn't like the indoor venue because it would defeat the purpose of having an outdoor beach wedding, correct? Also, getting one of the indoor pavilions will cost us for a separate ceremony venue.

So getting the Clubhouse Pantalan (lakeshorevenue) seemed like the best deal. We gave one payment for both reception and ceremony venue.

Transacting with Ms. Ruby Mendoza, our account manager, was hassle-free. The best way to communicate with her is through calls not text messages and emails. She had been very accommodating and helpful to most of our inquiries and requests.

Our slight discomfort with CBI was when we were not allowed to hire a caterer apart from their in-house catering service. We were set on getting their expensive package at Php1,200 to P1,500 per plate, when I learned through one of my sisters in W@W that they were able to negotiate getting Juan Carlo, which offers much good menu selection at much lower price. Luck was on our side, as my mother-in-law had connections within CBI. So aside from allowing us to get JC, the discount was extended to the hotel room rentals.

Verdict: The Taal volcano and Taal lake views from the resort were perfect during our wedding day. I couldn't ask for a better venue to my wedding than CBI!
